Located in Etchu Miyazaki, Asahi Town, Toyama Prefecture, is the drive-in restaurant “Kinkai.”
This road is famous as the “Tarajiru Rord,” and while they certainly serve tarajiru (cod soup), their recommended dish is the “Yakiniku Teishoku” (grilled meat set meal).
Unlike the typical image of a yakiniku set meal, it’s more like a “pork sauté,” with thick slices of pork loin grilled slowly, making it very satisfying.
They are particular about using domestically produced meat, and the chewy texture combined with the sweetness of the fat provides exceptional satisfaction.
Located along National Route 8, it has a large parking lot and is very popular with large truck drivers. They also offer accommodation, making it convenient for those who want to relax.
It’s also very close to the Jade Coast, and you can enjoy your meal while watching the Ainokaze Toyama Railway trains running parallel to the national highway.
