Kunming Station to China Hekou
This video documents a journey aboard China Railway’s CR200J “Fuxing” train running from Kunming Railway Station toward the Hekou border area in Yunnan Province. The train departs Kunming and travels south through the varied landscapes of Yunnan, passing mountain regions and the Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture en route to the southern border near Vietnam.
The CR200J is a China Railway “standard EMU” designed for conventional-speed lines, offering improved comfort and efficiency compared to traditional locomotive-hauled services. Along this route, the scenery transitions from urban areas to rural settlements and mountainous terrain, showcasing the dramatic topography of southern Yunnan.
The footage includes onboard scenes, seating interiors, station stops, and passing views, capturing a detailed look at rail travel across southwestern China toward the international border region with Vietnam.
