This is a Mi Quang restaurant located near Go Vap Station on the Vietnam Railway. Because of its location right next to the tracks, you can enjoy your meal while watching the trains go by. However, it’s only open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, so you need to get up early. But, many trains arrive and depart from Saigon Station during that time, so you have a high chance of seeing a train. The Mi Quang I ordered had a unique mix of two-colored noodles, and contained well-cooked large pieces of pork on the bone, shrimp, Vietnamese sausage, and, as is standard in Vietnam, a generous portion of vegetables served separately. After eating the Mi Quang, I highly recommend the passion fruit juice. While passion fruit juice commonly found in Vietnam contains seeds, this one is seedless, making it easy to drink. It’s a refreshing and perfect after-meal drink.
