The “Hokuriku Odekake Tabiwa Pass,” which normally costs 2,450 yen and allows unlimited rides on local trains in the Hokuriku region for one day, was on sale for a limited time at 980 yen, so I immediately bought it and headed to Fukui. Unlimited rides are limited to local trains, but if you purchase a separate limited express ticket, you can also ride limited express trains. I also purchased a limited express ticket between Kanazawa and Fukui, and was able to ride the Thunderbird and Shirasagi trains, which will be discontinued between Kanazawa and Tsuruga after March 15, 2024.
