I’d often seen the fluttering banners from this shop on the road I pass by, and it had piqued my interest, so I finally made it there. When I arrived, there was a sign that said, “The sweet potatoes will be ready around 1:30 PM,” and when I checked my watch, it was 1:15 PM. I was able to buy a freshly baked one at just the right time. I was hungry, so I ate it right away. Since they used Beni Haruka sweet potatoes, it wasn’t very fluffy, but it had a sticky texture and a rich sweetness, almost like eating cream, and I thought it was incredibly delicious. Moreover, if you carelessly take the baked sweet potato out of the bag and hold it directly in your hand, your hands will get sticky with the syrup that oozes from the skin, so I imagine it must be quite sweet. Wet wipes are a must! (laughs)
